Unit 5 – Quadratic Expressions

Quadratic expressions are algebraic expressions that involve quadratic terms, which are terms raised to the power of 2. Quadratic expressions have several key characteristics Degree, Coefficients, Leading Coefficient, Vertex, Axis of Symmetry, Roots or Solutions, Maximum and Minimum Values.

Quadratic expressions have numerous applications in mathematics, physics, engineering, economics, and other fields. They can be used to model various phenomena, such as projectile motion, optimization problems, growth patterns, and quadratic functions.

Unit 6 – Quadratic Equation

Quadratic equations find applications in physics, engineering, economics, computer science, and many other fields. They are used to model various phenomena, such as projectile motion, population growth, optimization problems, and quadratic functions.

Solving quadratic equations and understanding their properties are essential skills in mathematics. They enable us to analyze and solve a wide range of problems and provide insights into the behavior of quadratic functions and relationships.

Unit 7 – Trigonometry of right triangles

Trigonometry of right triangles is a branch of mathematics that deals with the relationships between the angles and sides of a right triangle. A right triangle is a triangle that has one angle measuring 90 degrees.

In trigonometry, there are three trigonometric ratios that relate the angles and sides of a right triangle. These ratios are sine , cosine, tangent. Trigonometry of right triangles is widely used in fields such as engineering, physics, surveying, and navigation. It allows for the determination of unknown angles or side lengths in right triangles based on the given information.

Unit 8 – Trigonometry of acute triangles

Trigonometry of acute triangles deals with the relationships between the angles and sides of triangles that are not right triangles. An acute triangle is a triangle in which all three angles are less than 90 degrees.

The Law of Sines and the Law of Cosines are important concepts in trigonometry of acute triangles. The Law of Sines states that the ratio of the length of a side of a triangle to the sine of its opposite angle is constant.
